Our first Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier entered our lives in 1993 when Lucy (Stevelyn Hawaiian Wedding at Pippajam JW) joined the family. Her arrival introduced us to the most amazing breed and the world of dog showing. Little did we know how much Lucy would change our lives! Very sadly Lucy passed away during August 2007 aged 14 years and 2 months. She is very much missed but will live on in our memories.
In 1994 our second Wheaten joined the family as a companion for Lucy. Lottie (Stevelyn All Shook Up at Pippajam) is the PIPPAJAM foundation bitch. She is the half sister of Lucy and the mother of Jazz (Pippajam Golden Angel), Grandmother of Tara (Pippajam Class Act), Rosie (Ch. Pippajam Gold Leaf ShCM) and JJ (Pippajam One and Only) and Great Grandmother of Holly (Pippajam Sparkling Girl).

We have been exhibiting Soft Coated Wheaten Terriers in the UK since 1993. After a visiting a few dog shows we got the dog show 'bug' and that's where it all started!
Young Kennel Club Junior of the Year 1995
Phillippa has handled in breed classes since 1993 and has also taken part in Junior Handling in her younger years. Phillippa was named as the UK Kennel Club Junior of the Year in 1995; she was presented with her award by HRH Prince Michael of Kent at Crufts (seen left). She was also a gold medallist in the same competition in 1996. She has won numerous awards in handling competitions and qualified Lucy and Lottie for the Kennel Club Junior Organisation (now known as the Young Kennel Club) Stakes Finals held annually at Crufts on 5 occasions. As a Junior Phillippa also successfully handled other peoples dogs in the breed competitions.
Current Activities
Phillippa took a break
from showing whilst at University. Phillippa left University in 2003
after completing her degree in Geography (BSc) and PhD. She now works
in the Water Industry.
Phillippa is currently showing three Pippajam Wheatens; Rosie (Pippajam Gold Leaf ShCM), Holly (Pippajam Sparkling Girl) and JJ (Pippajam One and Only) with considerable success. Check out the results pages for further details.
Phillippa is also on the Soft-Coated Wheaten Terrier Club of GB Judges C-List and regularly stewards at shows. She also judges Junior Handling up to Championship Show level. Please contact her via the Contact Us page for further information.
Phillippa was co-opted on to the Soft-Coated Wheaten Terrier Club of GBs committee in 2007 and was voted on to the committee in 2008. She is now the Show Secretary for the Club.
