In the early 1990's we decided that we would like to get a family dog as a pet and a companion for our two children Phillippa and James. After much careful deliberation and consideration we decided that the breed for us was the Wheaten Terrier. We spent a couple of years researching the breed, visiting a wheaten in a family home and attending a number of events run by the Soft-Coated Wheaten Terrier Club of GB.

Our first Wheaten (Lucy) joined our family in the summer of 1993. We decided to take Lucy to ring craft training, mainly for obedience training and socialisation. We were persuaded to go to a couple of local shows and the rest, as they say, is history! Since 1993 we have been involved with showing (exhibiting, judging and stewarding) and have breed occasional litters under the PIPPAJAM kennel name (and a mix of our children's names) which was first registered in 1995.

Our Wheaten family has extended to include Lottie, Jazz, Tara, Rosie, Holly, JJ, and our latest addition Ziggie. More information on our dogs can be found here.

As youngsters both Phillippa and James were both involved in Junior Handling. In 1996 Phillippa was named KCJO Junior of the Year, and was presented with her trophy by HRH Prince Michael of Kent at Crufts.

Phillippa has been a member of the Soft-Coated Wheaten Terrier Club of GB Committee since 2007 (co-opted) and elected in 2008. Phillippa currently holds the role of Show Secretary.

In 2010 Phillippa married her long term partner Ross, and has now become Phillippa Pearson.
